Octagonal Walnut Museum Display Cases
These were an incredible opportunity; equally challenging as they were fun to design and fabricate. Designed for a private biology & geology collection in Los Angeles, CA. Crafted from 100% American walnut. The foundation started with turned legs, and a mortise & tenoned apron. Then two layers of lifting glass doors, fitted with glass floors and glass shelving. Topped with an angled section with trapezoidal lifting doors, and crowned with an octagonal full view cap. Each behemoth case is about 5-1/2 feet tall and 5-1/2' in diameter.
